Call for Submissions: Tule Review (Sacramento)

The Sacramento Poetry Center welcomes submissions for the winter Tule Review - now 50-60 pages and perfect bound - with an anticipated publication date for January 2011. We consider poetry of all styles and forms from both local and far-flung places as long as the poems are strong and well crafted. Submission Deadline: September 30, 2010. Tule, Tiger's Eye, Farallon: Three American Journals to Check Out

The Farallon Review, Tiger's Eye, & Tule Review Here are some journals to consider submitting your works to. Two of them, Tule Review and Farallon are based in Sacramento, California, while Tiger's Eye is based in Oregon. All three accepts submissions from all over the world, and their reach is expanding. Both the copies and editing are of a high quality. Tule Review is published by the Sacramento Poetry Center. The current issue if Summer 2010, which just came out. The deadline for the Winter 2011 are due by September 15, 2010. Fourteen of the contributors in the Summer issue will do a launch reading on August 2. That promises to be a big event; it is going to feature my friend Naomi Beneraon, the 2010 winner of the Bellwhether Fiction Award, coordinated by Barbara Kingsolver. Submit Your Poems to Tule Review

I am one of the editors of The Tule Review , a publication of the Sacramento Poetry Center, which welcomes submissions for the next issue — now 40-50 pages and perfect bound — with an anticipated publication date in June 2010. We consider poetry of all styles and forms (except Haiku). Submission Guidelines: • Considers poetry of all styles and forms (except Haiku). • Send up to six poems, maximum 96 lines per poem. • Submission deadline for the June 2010 issue is Feb. 27, 2010; submissions received after that date may be considered for a future issue. • Include name, street and e-mail addresses on each page of submission. • Provide a short bio, not to exceed five lines. • We prefer submission via email with poems attached in a single MSWord document (.doc or .docx format). • E-mail submissions to tulereview@sacramentopoetrycenter.org Please specify "Tule Submission" in the subject line. • Hard copy submissions are also accepted.
