Adichie's New Book Tour Venues & Dates

Here is a schedule of Chimamanda N. Adichie's US Tour of The Thing Around Your Neck. I will go either to the Menlo Park, CA (June 30) or the July 1 San Francisco one.

Ignatius Mabasa comes to San Franciso July 25, then shortly after, Oliver Mtukudzi might be touring the Bay Area too (as has been his annual tradition).

Freedom The shackles have been cast off. Chains broken. People once squashed, under the jackboot of Apartheid, are free. Free at last! Freedom came on the 27th day in that April, 1994. Freedom from prejudice. From institutionalised racism. From being relegated to second-class citizenship. Freedom came and we danced. We cried. We ululated as we elected our revered Mandela. Mariana Castro de Ali, whose art uses anything from receipts to tampons. Mariana Castro De Ali was born in Cd. Obregón, Sonora México in 1975. She lives works in California. She attended Cosumnes River College, Chabot College, is now pursuing Film Studies at UC Davis.
