Chirikure Chirikure to Attend Berlin LitFest


Zimbabwean internationally renowned poet Chirikure Chirikure has been invited to perform at the 8th International Literature Festival Berlin that runs from September 26 till October 4. Read more at artsinitiates.

Freedom The shackles have been cast off. Chains broken. People once squashed, under the jackboot of Apartheid, are free. Free at last! Freedom came on the 27th day in that April, 1994. Mariana Castro de Ali, whose art uses anything from receipts to tampons. Mariana Castro De Ali was born in Cd. Obregón, Sonora México in 1975. She lives works in California. She attended Cosumnes River College, Chabot College, is now pursuing Film Studies at UC Davis.
